Doctrinal Statement

Our doctrinal statement of faith and core values.

Scripture

We believe that the Scriptures, consisting of the Old and New Testament, are the verbally inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God. They are the final, sufficient, and only sure authority in faith and life.
(2 Peter 1:19-21, 2 Timothy 3:14-17, Proverbs 30:5-6)

Trinity

We believe in one true and living God who eternally exists in three distinct persons, of one substance and equal in glory: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
(Matthew 28:18-20, Deuteronomy 6:4, Psalm 90:2)

Christ & Redemption

We believe in the virgin birth and incarnation of the eternal Son of God, His sinless life, and His substitutionary atoning death, wherein He took on our sins and we are given His righteousness. We believe in His bodily resurrection and ascension, His present role in heaven as our high priest and advocate, and His imminent personal return.
(Luke 1:34-35, Isaiah 53:5-6, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Romans 8:34, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

Sin

We believe that, by the fall, all mankind are sinners by nature, dead in sin, willful transgressors of God’s law, and therefore fully deserving of hell.
(Ephesians 2:1-3, Romans 3:10-12, Romans 6:23)

Salvation

We believe that salvation is the gracious gift of God—given on the basis of Christ’s redemptive work, not human merit or works—and received by faith alone. We believe that the Holy Spirit applies the redemption purchased by Christ, regenerating hearts, uniting believers to Christ, indwelling, guiding, and sanctifying them.
(Ephesians 2:8-10, Titus 2:11-14, Titus 3:5-7)

Resurrection & Judgment

We believe that there will be a bodily resurrection of all people, the saved to eternal life, and the unsaved to everlasting punishment.
(John 5:28-29; Matthew 25:46)

Core Values

Primacy of the Heart in Worship

We believe that true worship overflows from a grateful, Spirit-filled heart in response to the whole word of Christ. Our emphasis is not on using our musical abilities but on cultivating grateful hearts that love to worship God in thought, word, and deed—not just corporately on Sundays, but also throughout every day.
(Colossians 3:15-17, Mark 7:6-7, Psalm 71:8)

Scripture-Centered Living

We believe that God changes lives primarily through the prayerful and diligent reading, teaching, and application of Scripture, which is living and active, and sufficient for all matters of faith and obedience. We prioritize intentional study of God’s Word, seeking to understand each passage in its proper context and in light of the gospel. Through such study, the Spirit works in us repentance, faith, and growing conformity to Christ.
(John 6:63, 8:31-32; Psalm 19:7-11)

Duty to Share the Gospel

We believe that God has entrusted Christians with the duty and privilege of proclaiming the gospel that those who hear it might believe. As ambassadors for Christ, we speak the truth with gentleness, calling others to Christ in hope that God might grant them repentance and new life.
(Matthew 28:19-20, 2 Corinthians 5:18-20, Romans 10:14-15)

Fellowship of Believers

We believe that God intends for individual Christians to grow up into Christ by means of fellowship with other believers. We seek to cultivate relationships with other members of the body of Christ through the communal speaking of Scripture, corporate worship, and mutual exhortation towards love and good works. We strive for unity around the core gospel message and believe in working alongside other gospel-centered ministries to proclaim Christ.
(Hebrews 10:24-25; Ephesians 4:1-6, 15-16)
