Core Values
The core values that guide our approach to hymn study, worship, and ministry.
Deep Bible Study
We believe that God changes lives primarily through the prayerful studying/teaching/meditation of Scripture, applying it to their lives, and teaching it to others. To this end, we prioritize Scripture in our hymn studies, seeking to understand how each hymn reflects biblical truth and helps us apply God’s Word to our lives. (John 8:31-32)
Primacy of the Heart in Worship
We believe that true worship overflows from a grateful, Spirit-filled heart in response to the word of Christ (Colossians 3:16, Ephesians 5:18-20). While we value musical excellence and thoughtful lyrics, we recognize that worship is more than outward expression—it flows from a heart transformed by the gospel and filled with the Holy Spirit.
Duty to Share the Gospel
We believe that God has entrusted Christians with the duty of sharing the gospel (Matthew 28:19-20, 2 Corinthians 5:18-20, Romans 10:14-15, 1 Peter 2:9). Through our performances in the community, we seek to proclaim the saving truth of the gospel and encourage others with the hope found in Christ.
Fellowship & Mutual Upbuilding
We believe in the importance of Christian fellowship and mutual encouragement. As we gather to study and sing hymns together, we seek to build one another up in the faith, exhorting and encouraging each other to grow in our love for God and His Word.
