Statement of Faith

Scripture

We believe that the Scriptures, consisting of the Old and New Testament, are the verbally inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God. They are the final, sufficient, and only sure authority in faith and life. (2 Peter 1:20-21, 2 Timothy 3:14-17)

Trinity

We believe in one living and true God who eternally exists in three distinct persons, of one substance and equal in glory: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19, Deuteronomy 6:4)

Christ & Redemption

We believe in the virgin birth and incarnation of the eternal Son of God, His sinless life, and His substitutionary atoning death, wherein He is imputed the sins of God’s people and His righteousness to us. We believe in His victorious bodily resurrection and ascension, His present role in heaven as our high priest and advocate, and His imminent personal return. (Luke 1:34-35, Hebrews 2:14, Hebrews 4:15, Isaiah 53:5-6, 2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 Corinthians 15:4-5, Romans 8:34, Hebrews 8:1-2, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

Sin

We believe that, by the fall, all mankind are born sinners by nature, wholly inclined to evil, willful rebels against God, and therefore fully deserving of hell. (Romans 3:23)

Salvation

We believe that salvation is the gracious gift of God on the basis of Christ’s redemptive work, entirely apart from human merit or works, received by faith. We believe that the Holy Spirit applies the redemption purchased by Christ, regenerating hearts, uniting believers to Christ, indwelling, guiding, and sanctifying them. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5)

Resurrection & Judgment

We believe that there will be a bodily resurrection of all people, the saved to eternal life, and the unsaved to everlasting punishment. (John 5:28-29)
